On May 17, Warsaw will host the 21st edition of the Long Night of Museums. Historic buses and trams will once again hit the streets in a festive parade and later operate on special museum lines throughout the evening.

Parade of Historic Buses
At 16:45 the Parade of Historic Buses will begin from the Stalowa Depot. The route will be:
Stalowa Depot – Stalowa – Szwedzka – al. “Solidarności” – Targowa – al. Zieleniecka – al. Waszyngtona – Kinowa – al. Stanów Zjednoczonych – Łazienkowski Bridge – Solec – Wioślarska – Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie – Nowy Zjazd – Śląsko-Dąbrowski Bridge – al. “Solidarności” – Szwedzka – Stalowa – Stalowa Depot
According to the plan, vintage buses and trams will travel together along al. Zieleniecka and from Nowy Zjazd to dworzec Wileński.






Buses will be open to visitors beforehand, with boarding available until 16:30. The parade does not stop at intermediate bus stops.
You can reach the starting point (77 Stalowa St.) by bus 135 (Metro Szwedzka stop), tram 23 (Czynszowa stop), metro line M2 (Szwedzka station), or Veturilo bike (station 9690 Metro Szwedzka).
Several dozen historic buses will participate – including the Chausson AH48 from 1950, Somua from 1933, and the iconic Jelcz “cucumber” and Ikarus buses:






























Parade of Historic Trams
At 17:00 the Parade of Historic Trams will depart from the Al. Zieleniecka terminus. Route:
Al. Zieleniecka – al. Poniatowskiego – Poniatowski Bridge – al. 3 Maja – Al. Jerozolimskie – Towarowa – Okopowa – al. “Solidarności” – Śląsko-Dąbrowski Bridge – al. “Solidarności” – Targowa – Kijowska – al. Tysiąclecia – Praga Depot
As planned, vintage buses and trams will travel together along al. Zieleniecka and from Nowy Zjazd to dworzec Wileński.



The parade does not stop at intermediate tram stops.
You can reach the starting point (Al. Zieleniecka terminus) by trams 3, 6, 7, 22, 26, buses 102, 123, 125, 135, 138, 146, 147, 166, 202, 509 (Al. Zieleniecka stop), metro line M2 (Stadion Narodowy station), SKM trains S1, S2, selected Masovian Railways trains (Warszawa Stadion station), or Veturilo bike (station 9676 Al. Zieleniecka – Teatr Powszechny).

Museum Lines
In the evening, special routes will operate across the city, taking passengers to museums open for the Night of Museums. Two of these routes will be served by historic vehicles.

Where to catch special buses at the Emilii Plater terminal.
Note: Lines A and M do not depart from Emilii Plater terminus.
Bus Line A: Stalowa Depot – Praga Depot
Operated by vintage buses, Line A will run approximately every 5 minutes from 18:00 to 00:30:
STALOWA DEPOT (Zajezdnia Stalowa) – Targowa – Ząbkowska – PRAGA DEPOT (Zajezdnia Praga) 52
Buses will stop only at Dw. Wileński and Markowska stops.

This line connects two depots – the 100-year-old tram depot and the 40-year-old bus depot – and does not serve the Palace of Culture and Science area.
You can take it to go to the Tram Festival and Night of Museums at Stalowa Depot.
Line A will feature a selection of vintage buses from the parade.
Tram Line M: Zajezdnia Praga (Praga Depot) – Metro Płocka
In the evening, tram line M will begin service, taking passengers from Wola district to the Old Town, Warszawa Wileńska station, and the historic 100-year-old tram depot in Praga-Północ district — the venue of the Tram Festival.
Line M, operated by both historic and modern trams, will run every 20 minutes from 18:00 to 24:00:

Other Museum Lines
Besides vintage vehicle lines, additional routes operated by modern buses will run to various museums, including the Museum of Polish Vodka, POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, Copernicus Science Centre, Wilanów Palace, and Norblin Factory.









Tram Festival
Following the parade, until midnight, a historic tram exhibition will be held at the 100-year-old Praga Tram Depot (16 Kawęczyńska St.), featuring the oldest and most valuable trams from the Warsaw Trams heritage collection.






Night of Museums at “Stalowa” Depot
Also from 18:15, until 23:00, the “Stalowa” Bus Depot (Stalowa 77), celebrating its 40th anniversary, will open its doors to showcase how a bus is handled after finishing its daily route and offer a glimpse into workshop operations.

A Classic suburban train for the Night of Museums
POLREGIO is joining the Night of Museums and heading to Warsaw with its unique Multiple Electric Unit.
The yellow-and-blue EN71 from 1976 will depart from Kraków at 15:13 and arrive at Warszawa Główna station at 18:33. Once there, next to the Railway Museum (Stacja Muzeum), visitors will have the chance to explore the restored interior of the train. Free shuttle services between Warszawa Główna and Warszawa Zachodnia will run every hour. The return trip to Kraków is scheduled for 23:15.


Secrets of Ursynów
The Ursynów District invites you for two unique tours aboard a historic Ikarus 256 bus provided by Stalko.
Participants will explore rarely accessible and mysterious places across the Ursynów district. The program includes visits to: the former Prefab Housing Factory, the CEZAMAT laboratory, a secret Ministry of Foreign Affairs radio station, relics of the pre-war Motolux Aircraft and Automotive Accessories Factory, a hidden military unit in the Kabaty Forest where Polish cryptologists worked on breaking the Enigma code, and the JJW television studio with a collection of equipment from various eras.
The first tour departs at 16:00, the second at 19:00. Due to limited capacity (maximum 44 participants per trip), registration is required – details are available on the Ursynów District Office website.


In the Footsteps of “Zośka” in Piaseczno
As part of the Piaseczno Night of Museums, a special free bus line will connect key locations in Piaseczno and Zalesie Dolne.
Historic buses – true motoring legends – will operate along the route, offering not just convenient transportation between event venues, but also a nostalgic journey back in time.

Ride the Piaseczno Narrow-Gauge Train
Piaseczno, during the Night of Museums, is also offering a one-hour ride on its narrow-gauge heritage railway running along the route: Piaseczno Miasto – Złotokłos – Piaseczno Miasto.
The train departs at 18:30 and returns about 19:30.

Night of Museums with WKD
During the Night of Museums, the Heritage Room of Warszawska Kolej Dojazdowa in Grodzisk Mazowiecki will open its doors from 17:00 to 23:00. Visitors will have free access to the historic EKD inspection and repair hall and will be able to see, among other things, the freshly restored EN94-34 electric multiple unit.
